Sammy is an eight year old 70 pound female spayed black lab/Pyrenees mix. The owners are moving to Arizona and "can't have a big dog" in their new place.

Sammy was raised with the owners' kids that are 18-26 now. She just hasn’t been around children lately. The owner said Sammy is loving but prefers pets to hugs. The only thing is she has been territorial in their house - where she will jump and bark at people sometimes coming and going but if her collar is held she will just sit quietly.

She is housebroken and up to date on shots.

She has never snapped or bit anyone.

The owners are leaving for Arizona on Friday. Apparently the owner talked her son out of keeping Sammy permanently and it didn’t work out. Fuck them all in the neck.

Sammy is a new client of my sister’s at her vet clinic in Plainfield, about an hour southwest [of Chicago].

My sister refuses to euthanize a healthy dog.

Any help, be it a permanent home or a foster, would be wonderful.
